Week 3 Self Study 2

Week 3 Selft study:

This week for KIT207 Game Design and Production, I continue to learn more about Blender. We practice new material such as rigging, bones, armatures & animation. I spent several hours reviewing Blender fundamental videos provided by my lecturer and tutors.  It was another challenging week as I encounter new obstacles in the creation of a low-poly character animation.

I did some research on rigging an armature before applying it into my character animation. I also had to view some extra tutorials online on Keyframes and Dope sheets to fully understand the material for this week.

I believe my low-poly character could be better but time for this week was a bit too short, I will keep improving the bone, armature of my character this weekend. Overall, very happy with what I have done this week. I need to point, I am very thankful for the help provided this week and I am looking forward the next challenge.

I also worked on my tutorial 2 about importing and playing animations in Unity. Another challenge I encounter was working with scripts as it is a lot to remmeber and I need to be very careful with my codes (I had to review them and retype it to make it work).

The 3D character is an animation with rigging, bones, framekeys  and armature. It also 4 animations( idle, walk, run and wave) with a character controller. In the Controller transitions have been created to have an smooth movement on the game scene. The 3D character got an animator parameter called "Walk" (booleans) with an script attached to the 3D character that controls the interactions on the animation scene.

Unfortunately, I could not used Blender recorder instead I used Microsoft Clipchamp to export the material GIF.
